This painting of a torso of a young woman with strains of hair being held by various hands, reflects an inner moment that I had had.
Quite an "aha" moment!

I had gotten some, what I felt, "Bad" news.
My first reaction was to get on the phone and make the people involved see how wrong the decision they had taken, was.
But then I remembered that I had made a deal with myself.
I promised myself to reflect deeply upon that what was triggering me every time I would get upset by something.

So I gave the whole deal a bit of space,
and came to the conclusion: I actually don't have a clue of what is "best" for me.
Something might look good for me,
but does it actually make me grow, or teaches me to love more?
Usually we learn more in tough times.
And it also occurred to me that we are all on the earth to learn from each other... so perhaps this change would get me in contact with somebody who would give me valuable information, or vice-versa.

So I decided not to react,
to keep my lips shut, but my eyes open and observe what was happening with this whole deal.
Now and then my old thinking habits would pop up,
trying to babble me into taking action, but I gently ignored them.

In this painting, the hair-strings are the thought-strings, and the hands try to make me look away from the observer-point, by softly pulling the strings to different sides.

Whenever that would happen,
I would remind myself: "I only know that I don't know anything"...

In the end, the issue resolved itself,
no action had to be taken from my side.
I had learned a very valuable lesson: Let things unfold themselves.

About the artwork as an object:
The flanks are painted as well, so it's ready to hang as it is, soon as you've unboxed it!
I've signed it on the front, and you'll find the title, date and my larger signature on the back-side.
and as goes on all the paintings:
you will get a certificate of authenticity, along with a lot of good karma-points!

Thank you for making this world a more beautiful place by supporting my art.
