This is how I take out the 2nd and 3rd row of seats out of my Nissan NV200
“Which bolts to unfasten to get that 3rd row of seats out of my Nv200 van?”
That was my question that I had when I needed to get the van transformed from a 7 seater to a 2 seater.
And I couldn’t find anything online.
(I only found shakey video in German, that was filmed in low-res and with very little light!)
Following my life mission: to serve and make this a more beautiful world,
I decided I might as well film the process and upload it.
Leap of faith:
I wasn’t sure if I would have the abilities and/ or strength to unbolt it myself.
I thought I might have to go to a profesional to do this.
But as usual in my life, I am up for a leap of faith. To my big surprise they came off more easily than I thought!

I am not sure what it is called in English, but I can tell you it is size 14.
Why did I need to take the second and third row of the Nissan NV200 out?
Having a 7 seater is great, especially when you live in an eco-community, like I do.
We already have done some trips where a few adults took a whole bunch of kids to go and swim in a nearby river.
We also loaded the van full with friends and drove it up to the hills to go and do some serious stargazing now that the pleiades meteor shower is passing through our skies this July and August.
I am so pleased with the van. It doesn’t lose it’s horse-power, not even when it’s full of adults!
And it doesn’t feel chunky, it drives just like a regular car.

But I needed to go and mount an exhibition in Barcelona city and I needed to transport 10 of my paintings.
Some of them are so large, they don’t fit in a regular car.
And they also wouldn’t fit in the van if all the seats would still be in place.
(the ones in the video are only 116 x 89 cm, that’s 45,6 x 35 inch, the bigger ones were waiting in my studio!)
So I turned to my habitual learning-hub: youtube.
Nothing really spot-on there…
Googling more, I found a forum that had some of the keywords.
Funny thing, this is a forum which talks really badly about the design of the electric NV200!
Low and behold, in a thread there was a video of a german person showing how to remove the 3rd row of seats!
(as a native Dutch, I can follow the German language quite a bit, lucky me)
So at least I knew which ones to unbolt and which bolts to leave in place!
(I would be capable of unscrewing the whole seat into pieces, haha!)
To my super happy surprise after removing the NV200 3rd row seats the loading space was even bigger than I thought!!!

So if you came to my blog not because of my art, but because you needed to learn which bolts to loosen to remove the 6th and 7th chairs fo your Nissan NV200, I would want to encourage you to go ahead and go for it, if skinny me can do this, SO CAN YOU!!!
